Balance is for yoga and flamingos

FIRST
Create a life chant that you can utter in the mirror in less than 10 words.
Connect that chant with one of your biggest, most important goals.

ABOUT THAT GOAL
Write it down only once. After that, act on it and refine it. Then refine it more. But don’t keep writing it, because that just leaves you too busy to see the access point for how to actually achieve it.

AS YOU START TO LOSE MOJO
Find a picture of yourself that reminds you of someone you love. Maybe one that looks like your daughter, or your favorite aunt, or your father. Stare at the picture and comfort her. Tell her how amazing she is. Remind her that you see how hard she’s working. Tell her she’s come too far not to succeed. Nurture her confidence with your commitment.

AS YOU BUILD UP YOUR CONFIDENCE
Expect to lose face. Again. But go for gusto anyway. You’ll be able to use all of it when you’re fully aligned. There’s no other way to get to your version of excellence.

A WORD ABOUT EXCELLENCE
Sound moves fast, but energy just happens to travel much faster.
*Inspired by a quote from a stranger I met in N.Y.*
That means you can talk, suppose, and plan all the live-long day, but until you put all of yourself into the thing you want to be excellent in, you’ll just be dealing with sound. Sound is good, but mastery is not a one-ingredient stew. Sound should make you dance. Move already.

YOUR MOVEMENT DOESN’T ALWAYS REQUIRE BALANCE
Balance is for yoga. And flamingos.
Forget balance; stand on both feet, wide-stanced and ready to sway with your most desirable flow.

A RESOURCE FOR MASTERY
There’s an inextricable link between your body and your business; did you know? Yes, they’re both birthing houses for a fully-resourced version of you, and the realization of that will pull you up one stratosphere and closer to occupying your Highest Self.

OH, AND WHILE YOU’RE UP THERE
Tell people to their faces that your work is their best chance for success.
Fill your work with so much of your life experience gems that your confidence in it will rival nicotine, chocolate, and Jamaican hard dough bread in their addictive natures.

AND WHEN YOUR CONFIDENCE WANES
Pry off the emotional labels. View them as lessons instead.
Try not to mute your feelings, but take care not to wallow in them either. Feel it, write it out, hell, you may even choose to act upon it, but soon after, pry it off, mark it “received”, and get back to what feels delicious.

SPEAKING OF DELICIOUS
Talk to your body.  Feed each other the most delicious thoughts you can conjure up. She’s actually a great listener if she know you’re being genuine. Stay in touch with her and she’ll never let you forget how to dance like yourself.

AND WHILE YOU DANCE
Know that you don’t always have to bus’ out with MJ’s Remember The Time themed choreography. Baby steps work wonders, so decide now to view each of your baby steps as a big deal. Learning to walk is tricky stuff, let alone dancing!
