BlogLive: Atlanta (Round II)

We’re taking the blogging bug to IRL (In Real Life) status by stepping from behind our laptops and onto BlogLive, for the second time this year! Corporate Chics, a business that offers encouragement to female entrepreneurs and business services to its small business clients, and Execumama Enterprises, a women’s empowerment network focused on working mothers between the ages of 21 to 35 are bringing Live Blogging to Atlanta on Saturday, July 10th, 2010, and we’re inviting you to join us! REGISTER HERE.

To be held at tahCha Tea House in Atlanta (3352-C Chamblee Tucker Rd, Atlanta, next to The Velvet Room), this “casual networking” event will allow “Blog Visitors” to raise their comment cards to “comment” on Live blog posts presented by panelists chosen for their expertise in business, media, and life skills. Retweet cards will serve as support for poignant comments…Social Media Gone Live!

Here are some of the comments about the last event:

FROM TWITTER: Great format for #blogliveatlanta. Informal setting but dialogue is serious. @FaceForwardATL (via @CocoDivas)

FROM YOUTUBE: Really enjoyed this and hope for many more. The concept of blogging live was an awesome and creative idea. Having a chance to respond live to a Blog… HOT!! Faceforward: I so totally dig it! (Via @VirtuousOne77)

Participants can purchase and enjoy drink and food specials while discussing hot topics like social faux pas, best and worst practices, and “Hot Now” media issues. These “posts” will leave them worked up and on the edge of their seats, as they learn about blog terminology, and networking do’s and don’ts while sharing their two cents!

The format is simple:

  • 4 Panelists – specifically chosen for their expertise in business, media, and life skills.
  • The Blog Commentors (You!)
  • 5 Blog topics: (Business, Personal Relationships, Politics, Religion, and Media)
  • 2 Moderators: Tawana and Akilah

All participants are provided with Comment Cards and *ReTweet signs they will raise to signal their interest in commenting on a statement and/or “co-signing” a comment with a retweet.

The participants behind the three most retweeted comments will be asked to give their extended (two minute) elevator pitches, and the panelists will choose a winner, who will receive A GRAND PRIZE! (Details to come).

We’ll be video-recording and packaging the video for placement on several high-traffic Web sites, so don’t miss don’t miss your unique opportunity to meet and greet the faces behind your metro Atlanta community!  REGISTER HERE.
