Sage has always been interested in culinary arts–baking in particular. She collects recipes on her Pinterest boards, and her dad can always count on her to be a helpful sous chef during dinner prep.
More recently, Marley has become interested in baking too–specifically bread. Of course, since learning happens everywhere, and opportunities often show up when we least expect it, we’ve found a place to nurture their interests.
Not even one month into our time here in South Africa, a local bakery, owned by four brothers from Zimbabwe, welcomed Marley and Sage as their baking apprentices. We just happened to walk in and strike up a conversation!
