I want you to remember yourself and your feelings as valid parts of any conversation.
We are often ushered to put our feelings aside,
in hopes that the logical thing can come forward
without the interruption of our messy, foggy feelings.
But feelings are never about moving on,
always about moving through.
I believe that women like us feel best when we work through,
and not on things in our lives.
THROUGH is allowing yourself to be with how you feel
THROUGH is not labeling your feelings, but simply acknowledging them
THROUGH is feeling anxiety about what might happen
if you really express yourself–and then finding a way
to express yourself anyway, perhaps not as boldly as you
initially felt, but with a sense of regard for the other
person’s feelings and an immovable commitment
to your own authentic expression.
